Qatar University is the national and by far the biggest university in Qatar. Qatar University comprises nine colleges, the most relevant are Arts and Sciences; Business and Economics; Engineering. Over the years, the University has continually expanded its wide range of new programs—the largest selection in the country—while fastidiously seeking the highest international accreditations, and ensuring they are aligned with the growing needs of the labor market and the aspirations of society it serves. It currently boasts a population of over 20000 students and an alumni body of over 40,000.

Center for Sustainable Development (CSD) and Department of International Affairs (DIA)

Two bodies from the College of Arts and Sciences are involved in this cooperation. The CSD is a cross-disciplinary research center with programs coordinated by a lead faculty on Natural Resources Governance; Biotechnologies; Waste Management; Food Security and Energy Efficiency. It will be responsible mainly for research activities. The DIA has a bachelor program on Development, Policy, and Planning, and hosts an interdisciplinary Msc. and Ph.D. on Gulf Studies with diverse topics including natural resources such as energy and water. It will be mainly responsible for curriculum-related cooperation.
